CU-SeeMe

The video conferencing equivalent of a garage band, CU-SeeMe sends black and white video over modems. It may not be fancy, but you don't need fancy hardware or expensive specialised communications services. CU-SeeMe is not an expensive dream, it is here, now.

There will be a live CU-SeeMe link up to other events around the world from the InterZone Lounge, through New Years Eve. The global party will continue after InterZone closes and the sun rises in Perth, W.A., including locations in Japan and a Los Angeles rave.

INTERZONE

Club Industrial

InterZone is Perth's new Industrial Music venue, regularly taking place at 448 Murray Street (right next to Fast Eddy's) every Saturday Night.

InterZone is unlicensed, and supports a BYO Alcohol System with full fridge facilities and inexpensive softdrinks/mixers for sale, so at $8.00/$5.00 (unwaged) entry it's a bargain. It has a garden area for cooling off, with bars (not selling alcohol) operating on both floors.

The emphasis of the club is on the ultra-recent, extreme and the bizarre, with a special commitment to explore radical entertainment technologies. Featured entertainment has and will include exploding TVs, performance art, in-house video, video games (including DOOM II), live music, live international networked events, and much more. InterZone will be the Southern Hemisphere's first true cyberclub, joining a rapidly growing number in the US and Europe. DJs Brad, Claudine and Nathan play industrial and alternative music.
