MESSAGE #5

This is the latest Interzone mail out

Welcome to IZ5

This message sees the authorities joining the list. Jeremy and Seb (or
is that Zeb, or something completely different.) have joined the list
and our numbers are slowly growing.

Mike's VJ'ing the "log in, flame and hack out" message got some
response as the next day there was some feedback/ flame in my
mailbox. (I am seeking the authors permission to share it with
everybody.)

> Can I use your flame in the Email list to start discussion on IZ Music
style.

Certainly. The alcohol may have worn off (Hey kids, don't drink and post!)
but I still would have liked more 'industrial-stuff'
Starting off some discussion, would help spice up this mailing list a tad.
Go for it...

Dear Justin,
I had the misfortune to attend Interzone on the 22nd.
Having just spent some low quality time at Frost Bites and the Globe,
we were looking forward to the sanctuary of Interzone: Club industrial.
Imagine my surprise when upon arrival I was greeted with a wall of
Gothic drudgery. Fair enough, through many a previous visit, I am
prepared for such pandering to the 'people-in-black', *However* after
about an *hour* of the boring muck, I was starting to get mildly concerned.
Afterall, was this not IZ:Club Industrial? The home of great
industrial/hard-core-techno-dance.

Instead my senses were assualted (while I was insulted) by a
continued appaling selection of music from the early 80's (oh God an hour
of retro!) This was too much, all my friends had left by now in disgust.
I was hanging around vainly in the hope that my appeals to the Dj's would
come into effect anytime soon. (Yes they had said some F242 and FLA was on
the way - about 90 mins previously!!!)

Finally I was forced to leave, as the remaining stragglers of my friends
bailed (@ ~ 3am) Needless to say, I felt cheated out of my entrance fee

I should have stayed @ the Globe or Rumours, that way I could have listened
to bad music for free.

I'm sorry it had to come to this. I know you aren't the guy responsible,
but when IZ restarted a few months ago, I was welcoming its return. My last
few visits have been well worth it. But now, the seed of doubt has been
planted. Neither, myself nor my friends want to risk ending up at
Club Gothic or Club Early Eighties.

And since I am in the flaming mood, I heard more a damn sight more
Industrial at The Loft, *on a Friday night!* AND it was bloody good stuff
to boot.

Please have a word to the DJ's. Help save IZ:Club Industrial.
Subvert the Dominant Paradigm. And if tonights was anything to go by, that
would be Goth and Early Eighties.

OK, I've said my piece. Time for a fitful, restless sleep.

On that note when sending comments, criticism, praise, questions or
answers indicate whether you mind it being shared with the group.

The World Wide Web page has been receiving a few visits, including
some from the US. Pictures and stuff still on the way, the news it
that it will be moving soon and you will be the first to know about it.

For the moment it is still at.
