Labouring under the laughable Windoze system with his 486 DX 4-100MHz 16/520, VJ Mike O'Brien - who also writes and performs the music for Red Consensus - provides visual stimulation and entertainment for Interzone-goers across this distributed video system.
Playing computer animation, cult videos, Manga, and Industrial video clips to enhance the atmosfear of the club. He also runs a message system to announce performances, giveaways, lost boyfriends [c'mon Mike: PC, pleeze] and up coming events.
Right now he is compiling a database, using Microsoft Access ("IZIS" - the Interzone Information System), which will show information on tracks currently being played by the DJs. It includes artist, track, album title, remix name and the album artwork.The system is piped around the club to numerous monitors, and a parallel RF-based system will soon be installed to allow multi-streaming of IZIS output.
