Interzone began as a "Special Event" in March of 1994 (see History), but since it
it opened as a regular nightclub, in November of 1994, it has run every Saturday Night and now runs every alternate Wednesday as a special night.
We open at 10PM - or close to it - and generally run until 4AM. We're not licenced, but being a BYO club seems to suit our patrons,
the majority of whom tend to be students or unemployed people. We charge AUS$8 entry (or AUS$5 if you can prove
you don't have regular employment; which about 70% of our patrons can) and operate soft-bars and a drink storage
service to keep your BYO Alcohol cold. Besides canned softdrink and mixers, we also sell a range of hard-to-get stuff (eg. "Jolt",
which is not common here) and "Smart Drinks" (eg. Taurine-based "Red Bull" and Phenylalanine-based "Blaster-X"). Because
patrons don't have to pay nightclub prices for drinks, Interzone is a fairly cheap night out. Unfortunately,
it also means we need a lot of people to cover our costs, and a Liquor Licence is probably in Interzone's future.
